Top SEO Experts 2026

This is my personal list. Fifteen SEO practitioners I follow, learn from, or simply think the industry should know better. Curated by Olesia Korobka. It is not ranked. It is not sponsored. Some of them I know personally, some I follow from a distance. All of them have earned their place here for something real.

Each profile on this site is part of the Fajela Knowledge Graph: structured entity pages with context, specialties, and links to where each person publishes and speaks. Click any name to open the full profile.

The Best

1. Aleyda Solís

Aleyda Solis

Founder & International SEO Consultant at Orainti. Madrid, Spain. International SEO, AI search optimization, technical SEO, ecommerce SEO.

Aleyda is the most diplomatic and open-minded person I have met in SEO. I included her not just because she is technically excellent, but because of what she has done for the community. SEOFOMO alone, the newsletter and the meetups, has connected thousands of SEOs who would never have found each other otherwise. She is always reachable, always willing to help, always open to anyone at any level. Someone once said “We don’t deserve Aleyda.” I think about that often. They are right.

2. Mark Williams-Cook

Mark Williams-Cook

Director at Candour. Norwich, United Kingdom. Technical SEO, People Also Ask research, content strategy, SEO training, Google security research.

Mark made one of the most important discoveries in SEO last year, around quality signals and how Google actually evaluates content. The research he put out around it was genuinely useful, the kind you read more than once. And then there are the drawings. If you follow him you know what I mean. He has a way of explaining complicated things through simple sketches that very few people can pull off. Big impact on the industry, and he makes it look easy.

3. Silvia Martin

Silvia Martin

Founder & Independent SEO Consultant at Trebole Ltd. London, United Kingdom. Technical SEO, SEO strategy, international SEO, ecommerce SEO, mentoring.

Silvia wrote a book on brand SEO: SEO for Branding: How to boost visibility and authority for personal and business brands. That alone would be enough. But she is also one of the nicest and most supportive people in the community. She gives a lot to the people around her, quietly and consistently. That matters.

4. Gerry White

Gerry White

Founder & SEO Consultant at Dergal Ltd. London, United Kingdom. Technical SEO, site migrations, analytics, enterprise SEO, growth.

Gerry might be the funniest SEO I know, but the humour always has a point. Behind it is a genuinely sharp mind and deep knowledge of SEO and digital marketing. He also has a big heart and more empathy than most people in this industry. That combination is rare, and it makes him someone worth knowing and following.

5. Judith Lewis

Judith Lewis

Founder at DeCabbit Consultancy. London, United Kingdom. SEO strategy, content strategy, link building, paid media, digital marketing training.

Judith is the best MC in the world. I am not being loose with that word. She can hold a room, manage speakers, handle anything unexpected, and make everyone feel like the event was always going to go exactly this way. She also knows more dark secrets about this industry than most. The impressive part is what she does with that knowledge: she uses it to help, not to harm. Event organizers love her for a reason.

6. Arnout Hellemans

Arnout Hellemans

Independent SEO, PPC & Analytics Consultant at OnlineMarkethink. Amsterdam, Netherlands. Technical SEO, conversion rate optimization, web performance, Google Analytics, PPC.

Arnout goes where most people do not bother to go. When the rest of the industry is focused on one signal, he is already three levels deeper, connecting dots nobody else noticed were there. He sees the full picture while everyone else is still arguing about one piece of it. That kind of thinking is rare.

7. Aoife Mc Ilraith

Aoife Mc Ilraith

Owner & Managing Director at Luminosity Digital. Dublin, Ireland. International SEO, generative search, digital strategy, SME marketing.

Aoife is technically excellent and has a skill not many people have: she can manage difficult clients without losing quality or patience. Working in international SEO with real enterprise clients is hard. Doing it calmly and well, consistently, is harder. She does both.

8. Chris Green

Chris Green

Senior SEO Consultant at Torque Partnership. Colchester, United Kingdom. Technical SEO, site migrations, SEO training, data-driven SEO, site architecture.

Chris is one of the best technical and enterprise SEOs I know. Large-scale migrations, crawl analysis, log-file work: he does it properly. Not the kind of consultant who writes a big report and disappears. The kind who makes sure it actually gets done.

9. Natalia Witczyk

Natalia Witczyk

Founder & International SEO Consultant at Mosquita Digital. Barcelona, Spain. International SEO, multilingual SEO, Baidu SEO, Yandex SEO, iGaming SEO.

Natalia does international SEO the honest way. Most people who claim multi-market expertise mean a few hreflang tags. She actually went to China to learn how search works there, and she works in Yandex and Baidu, not just Google. When I need a real answer about a market outside the usual ones, she is who I ask.

10. Andy Chadwick

Andy Chadwick

Co-Founder at Keyword Insights. United Kingdom. Keyword research, topical authority, content strategy, AI search, SEO tooling.

Andy turned something tedious, clustering keywords by intent, into a tool half the industry now uses. He was also early and generous with his data on ChatGPT referral traffic, sharing real numbers when most people were still guessing. He builds things and then tells you how they work.

11. Gareth Hoyle

Gareth Hoyle

Managing Director & Founder at Marketing Signals. Manchester, United Kingdom. Technical SEO, agency leadership, E-E-A-T, Google Business Profile, digital asset due diligence.

Gareth has run an independent agency longer than most, and he talks about the parts of this business nobody else will: margins, hiring, buying and selling sites, what it actually costs to deliver. If you want the operator’s view of SEO rather than tactics alone, he is one of the few being honest about it.

12. Dawn Anderson

Dawn Anderson

Managing Director at Bertey. Manchester, United Kingdom. Technical SEO, information retrieval, natural language processing, AI search, enterprise SEO.

Dawn was reading the information retrieval papers before the rest of us knew we needed to. She made BERT and neural ranking make sense to working SEOs, not as theory but as something you could act on. Every time Google ships another language model, she is the person I want to hear from first.

13. Nick Wilsdon

Nick Wilsdon

Founder & CEO at Torque Partnership. Limerick, Ireland. Enterprise SEO, technical SEO, forensic SEO, edge compute, CDN architecture, international SEO.

Nick ran global search at Vodafone for years and then retrained as an edge architect, which tells you how he thinks. He brought edge compute and CDN work into SEO when almost nobody was connecting those two worlds. Torque is doing things at the infrastructure level most agencies cannot even describe.

14. Kristal Ireland

Kristal Ireland

Senior Director at Torque Partnership. Yorkshire, United Kingdom. SEO strategy, digital leadership, enterprise SEO, content strategy.

Kristal works across the whole mix, SEO, content, paid, analytics, and leads it rather than just executing it. That breadth is rare, and it is exactly what enterprise clients need when the channels stop being separate.

About this rating

Most “top SEOs” lists are either popularity contests or advertising in disguise. This one is meant as a pointer: if you are newer to SEO and want a small set of people whose work you can follow without wasting time, start here. If you are already deep in the field, you will know most of these names. The point is simply that they keep earning their place.

The list is updated annually. For the broader set of practitioners and organisations tracked on this site, see the Fajela Knowledge Graph people index, the companies index, and the full ratings index.
