The best choice for your site analytics in nowadays is to install Google Tag Manager on your site and then manage all the analytics through it.

If you don’t have a Gmail account you’d better register one. If you have, then choose the one you will tie to your site or which is already used for most of the analytic services of the site including Google Search Console. It is important because it will make your job in the future much easier. For example, in the situation when you will try to connect your Adwords to your Analytics etc.
Then you choose create an account.
The process that follows is very easy but I’ve decided to describe it for those who don’t feel quite sure about what they are doing.
- Input your Company Name (or the name of your site).
- Input the short web address of your site like site.com. Choose Web and press the button Create.
- Read the Terms of Service Agreement and if it suits you press Yes.
- That’s it! Now you should see your Google Tag Manager Code.
If you have closed your code by chance and now wonder where it is hiding, just press the number next to your website address.
